New solar evacuated tube collectors launched

Extending our commercial solar thermal range

We have extended our solar range with the addition of two solar evacuated tube collectors to offer optimised hot water efficiency.

The cylindrical pipes used in construction of the panels are well suited to absorbing energy from the sun, as a much greater surface area of each pipe is exposed to any available light. This makes the collectors particularly suitable for maximising solar gain, even at low light intensities, such as during the winter months when the sun is at its weakest.

6 or 12 tube variants available

The fully pre-assembled SKR6 and SKR12 panels have been designed with CPC (Compound Parabolic Concentrator) technology to provide 360° absorption of solar energy. In optimum conditions this technology allows the panels to produce up to 60%* of a property’s hot water, even on days with little sun.

Available in 6 and 12 tube variants, the Buderus solar evacuated tube collectors combine an innovative design with high quality materials to provide environmentally-friendly and reliable low-cost hot water and produce no CO2 emissions once fitted, helping to reduce the carbon footprint of a property.

Depending on the water heating requirement, the fully pre-assembled 6 and 12 tube panels can be flexibly combined to satisfy roof areas of all sizes. For added convenience each of the Buderus collector panels can be attached to the flow and return connection pipes on one side only, providing an installation which is quicker, neater and requiring less pipe work where installations of large arrays are necessary.

Buderus also provides a large range of accessories, allowing the installation of evacuated tube collectors on both pitched and flat roofs, as well as against façades.
